Last month, we had the absolute pleasure of photographing Cassidy & Reece Gelmi’s wedding at Fairbridge Village in Pinjarra — one of those magical days where everything just falls perfectly into place. Despite a less-than-promising forecast, the skies cleared and we were blessed with the most beautiful weather all day long.
The morning started in the green Belfast Cottage, where both excitement and calm filled the air. Cassidy and her bridal party got ready surrounded by laughter and a few happy tears, while Reece and his family kept things relaxed just nearby. The heritage cottages at Fairbridge offer such a unique and nostalgic charm — every window and timber detail tells a story.
Their ceremony took place in the historic Fairbridge Chapel, a red-brick beauty that’s stood proudly for generations. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Cassidy and Reece exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony that was full of love, smiles, and a few cheeky giggles.
Afterwards, we wandered the sprawling grounds for some creative couple and bridal party portraits. Fairbridge is a photographer’s dream — from the tree-lined entrance road to the old general store, every corner is filled with character. We also made our way down the boardwalk through the bush and past the Cameron bunkhouse, each location offering a little slice of the village’s rustic charm.
Cassidy and Reece were such a joy to photograph — so positive, so easygoing, and completely in the moment. Their energy made the whole day feel effortless, and it really shows in every frame.
Fairbridge Village proved once again why it’s one of the most unique and picturesque venues in the South West. With its combination of heritage buildings, natural beauty, and relaxed country atmosphere, it’s the perfect setting for couples wanting something timeless and full of personality.
